BIM Production Manager

Desired Profile :

• Communication Exchanges o Reporting to: Project BIM Manager. o Teamwork with: BIM Coordinators. o Supervising: BIM Team Leads. • Responsibilities o BIM production planning and management in coordination with the Project BIM Manager. o Ensure timely signoff for each deliverable and that the whole project is completed on time. o Meet all objectives of the project to ultimately reach the client’s satisfaction. o Manage the BIM production team and confirm that all staff are doing their work properly. o Assure the highest degree of work quality and BIM team productivity. o Verify and ensure the interoperability of files and specify the necessary requirements for software, hardware, licensing, file format, and workspace requirements required to maintain interoperability. o Integrate BIM methodologies for pre-construction design coordination, BIM-to-Fabrication, 4D visual planning, site logistics, model-based quantification & production tracking and reality capture. o Review and verify BIM deliverables, including models & clash analysis reports. o Help resolve BIM design issues. o Verify that all BIM deliverables are in accordance with local construction procedures, contract documents, and international standards, where applicable. o Linking BIM to the project construction schedule for submittals, construction models, shop drawings and schedules. o Lead BIM Coordination Meetings: Spatial Coordination of Disciplines, gathering all disciplines BIM models including civil and preforming coordination tasks. • Software o Manage the installation and support of BIM software products, incorporate new version releases and customization of the product. o Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM (e.g. Revit Add-ons). o Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies (e.g. Assessment of new tools). o Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit and BIM. o Stay informed on other BIM related software and how they work with Revit. • Standards o Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement. o Creation and maintenance of the software Template files to assure standards. o Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions. o Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity. o Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced. o Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards. o Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Team Leads to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of the Revit model. • Support o Provide hardware and network support associated with BIM production. o Identify BIM and reality capture initiatives, workflows and processes that bring value to our projects and clients. o Dynamically rotate and support multiple and ongoing complex projects, logging and monitoring BIM usage for every project. o Troubleshoot problems in the software and hardware for the production team. o Knowledge of software developer support staff and other support channels. • Training o Train BIM Team Leads in the everyday use of BIM best practices. o Present, familiarize, provide training and support to BIM Team Leads regarding new BIM-related software and tools. o Test new hires skills in BIM and technical knowledge of the related field.
