Position: Head � Information Technology I am searching for a Head- IT for a leading company involved in manufacturing of diesel engines. My client is a leading company of India, involved in the manufacture of low emission diesel engines. The specs of the position are as follows: Qualification: Bachelor in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or MBA Systems Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience preferably in a manufacturing industry out of which at least 3 years in a leading role. KPA/Task Activities Competencies Manage Infrastructure � Windows/Unix Servers � Network / WAN / Communication � Office Automation � Formulation, Implementation and maintenance of Backup/ DRP Strategy � IT Asset Management � Logistics Management � Should be able to define, implement and monitor Departmental Performance measures � Should be able to define and implement Standard operating procedures � Should be able to design and implement Backup/DRP/BRP Policies � Should be able to lead with knowledge of the following: � Switched Ethernet, VPN, TCP/IP, VLAN, VTP, Wireless LAN, RADIUS, Cisco Routers and Switches. � Microsoft Technologies and Operating Systems (SMS 2003, Active Directory, Windows 2003,2000,NT 4.0, XP/98/95) � Anti-Virus Solutions (McAfee ePO etc.) � Messaging (iPlanet, Lotus Notes, MS Exchange) � Sun/HP/Compaq Unix Servers � Solaris/HPUX/Tru64 � Clustering Technologies and Storage Technologies such as RAID, SAN, NAS etc. � Infrastructure Management Applications (IBM Unicenter/Tivoli/ HP OpenView/ Cisco Works). Manage Development � ERP (Oracle 11i) � In-house Developed Systems � End-User Computing � Other Systems � Knowledge of ERP (Preferably Oracle APPS 11i) � Sound knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g and Oracle tools such as PL/SQL/Forms 6i/Report 6i etc. � Knowledge of Database administration/performance tuning � Knowledge of Plant Automation Systems General Administration � IT Strategy � IT Planning � IT Budgeting � Leadership � Should be able to design and implement IT Strategy � Should be aware of latest technologies and plan as per organizational needs. � Prepare and monitor IT Budgets (Capital and Revenue) � Should be able to lead the department as a cohesive unit, recruit, appraise, identify development needs of subordinates and fulfill these. � Good Communication and presentation skills Now if you think that you fit these specs please just: 1.
