Job Description :

Selected incumbent shall hold responsibility for conformance to Safety, Environment (EMS) Health and Fire Engineering standards.Responsibility includes Permit system,further building SHE ?Fire Engineering competency at all levels, Safety awareness building thru iniatives such as fire/safety drills ,safety drive etc , Improvement in Safety process ?system efficacy in terms of actionable changes. Oversee maintenance of SHE-Fire Engineering equipments i.e fire hydrant network ,pumps, sprinklers and alarm system and up gradation of technology. Primary role shall be proactive preventive action to build a high level of SHE-Fire Engineering maturity Index and maintain zero accident / incidence metrics. Monitoring of aspects-impact ,effluent distribution network, effluent treatment, tree plantation plan, setting up procedures, system up gradation, statutory compliance, data collection and analysis etc. Coordination with Atomic Energy Reg. Board for radiological safety aspects. Assessment of new legal requirements and amendments and Statutory compliance

Desired Profile :

Graduate in Engineering and / or Fire Engineering with Diploma in Industrial safety and/or PG in Environment Management with over 15 years experience in Safety -Fire Engg -EMS in process Industry.Diploma Holders with higher experience shall also be considered. Exposure to process design , study of PID of process and utility systems , safety analysis chart ,sizing of safety equipments HAZOP Safety Audit ,Hazardous area classifications ,fire detection system preferred. Position demands strong technical knowledge-skills in terms of Safety,Environment Management Systems and/or fire engineering, fire alarm systems Fire codes standards ,rules,regulations practices for Industrial safety, health, environment , fire/gas protection and Quality systems ISO 14001,OSHAS 18001 .Role demands strong analytical skills -focus, people-communication skills and bias for actionable improvements thru follow through on implementation of Safety-EMS-Fire systems .
