Job Description :

The primary functions of this position include day to day handling of Buyer accounts. The position is responsible for smooth running of the present business and excellent service levels to its buyers. This is a key responsibility in the company wherein a person is the major point of contact for their buyer accounts and responsible for handling all communications with the Buyers, Vendors and the Production team to ensure quality and deliveries. It is a challenging job that requires an experienced, motivated and high energy individual willing and able to drive the growth potential of the company. The position requires strong interpersonal and analytical skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent Product knowledge and a deep understanding of the Export Industry. Strong Networking base with the buyers and buying houses is required. The Merchandiser is responsible for the following: For being the Company''s major point of contact for its own Buyer accounts. Meeting Buyers and Buying Houses regularly to ensure company taps the Buyer''s full potential. Chasing Buyer inquiries and converting into Export Orders. The complete business cycle from Inquiry to timely Order execution including day to day communications, fabric and trims sourcing , sampling co-ordination , production co-ordination and follow-ups. Ensure excellent service levels and timely deliveries to Buyers. Intra and Inter Department co-ordination

Desired Profile :

Have relevant experience with a leading Buying house/Export house for at least 2-4 years. Have the expertise to work closely with buyers and build comfortable relationships with them. Be hands on person with high energy and motivation levels. Be a process oriented and objective natured person with ability to Multi task. Proven ability and track record in previous assignment. Be a Happy person. Have very good Communication and Interpersonal Skills. Have excellent Product knowledge and deep understanding of trends and projections. Have ability to generate and comprehend reports to arrive at meaningful data. A degree from a reputed Fashion Design Institute will be an added advantage.
