- Attends shift report daily from the outgoing supervisor, noting staffing and status of patients. - Makes rounds at the beginning of shift, evaluating critical and problem areas acquiring - Information to liaise with concerned to ensure safe and cost effective nursing care in the morning, evening and night shifts. 4. Assumes responsibility of resolving issues bought to his/her attention by the nursing staff appropriately and in consultation with ANS, and NS as required. 5. Is available during crisis situations in any of the units guiding and supporting the nursing staff on duty. 6. Participates in implementing departmental and hospitals policies and procedures.Desired Profile :
- Maintains a safe, comfortable and congenial environment in her/his shift encouraging adherence to set standards and promoting cooperation with other departments. - Assumes responsibility for professional and personal growth. - Recognizes legal implications and responsibilities in the practice of nursing. - Gives feedbacks to ANS and NS on the performance of nursing and support staff for further guidance and counseling as required.Experience Required :
