- Attends shift report daily from the outgoing supervisor, noting staffing and status of patients. - Makes rounds at the beginning of shift, evaluating critical and problem areas acquiring - Information to liaise with concerned to ensure safe and cost effective nursing care in the morning, evening and night shifts. - Assumes responsibility of resolving issues bought to his/her attention by the nursing staff appropriately and in consultation with ANS, and NS as required. - Is available during crisis situations in any of the units guiding and supporting the nursing staff on duty.Desired Profile :
- Participates in implementing departmental and hospitals policies and procedures. - Maintains a safe, comfortable and congenial environment in her/his shift - encouraging adherence to set standards and promoting cooperation with other departments. - Assumes responsibility for professional and personal growth. - Recognizes legal implications and responsibilities in the practice of nursing. - Gives feedbacks to ANS and NS on the performance of nursing and support staff for further guidance and counseling as required.Experience Required :
