SAP CoE � Basis Consultant Partner with on-shore Basis Leader to provide leadership and direction to the Basis Team Partner with on-shore Basis Leader to provide leadership to manage Basis processes with a drive for simplification and digitization to reduce time to resolution and overall cost Ensuring maximum up time of the system Working with the helpdesk to resolve a range of issues and meet SLA�s System monitoring and tuning Manage change without compromise to system integrity Responsible for project execution, including management of project scope, adherence to standards, issue tracking, and risk management Manage vendor resources if required to execute projects and process improvements Drive SAP Basis metrics for SAP team and SAP users SAP Basis Certified Basis and Security system administration Unix operating systems inc. Solaris Good understanding of Oracle database specifically in the R/3 environment Windows server operating systems (Bolt-on�s) Knowledge of hardware technologies SUN servers, EMC storage, PC�s Understanding of Global networking and how this relates to the R/3 environment and it�s user base 3 � 5 Years Basis experience some of which should be in a lead Basis position 2 � 3 years experience in a Unix and or DBA role Working on a large multi server Global implementation of SAP R/3 v4.6c, on Oracle database (>1,500 users) R/3 Installation and upgrades, support pack and note implementations and kernel upgrades Performance monitoring, analysis and tuning Implementing and managing multiple languages All aspects of security and user maintenance Working with interfaces and bolt-on�s such as: Printing, Imaging, archiving, scheduling, etc Management of back-up, recovery, DR in a 24x7 environment Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills Strong project management skills working in diverse and Global teams Be able to lead and guide other team members Clear and broad thinker, well-organized, and ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure Excellent documentation skills Effective verbal and written communication skills High energy and displays can-do, positive attitude Strong focus on Quality and Six Sigma processes Ability to manage expectations of peers and customers
