Job Description :
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for supporting the design frameworks and criteria for interior space based on knowledge of interior design, space planning principles and field input. Develops space application concepts based on information from field, client, academic and internal interiors experts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Creates interiors concepts based on knowledge and input from internal and external sources with the intention of influencing potential product developments.
2. Develops and executes research efforts on Haworth�s internal experiments program based on overall research agenda.
3. Supports the process of gathering and translating the latest interiors solutions from field and other expert sources.
4. Develops presentations and educational vehicles with internal support to share knowledge with appropriate constituents.
5. Supports relationships with external consultants, leading edge customers and academia to enhance knowledge of current best practices.
6. Coordinates shared learning sessions with field consultants and internal interiors experts.
7. Supports Haworth�s external experiments program including coordination of internal and external researchers, field support and client liaison efforts.
8. Identifies opportunities for study, consulting and education on interiors topics.
9. Travels to customer sites to support and conduct research activities. Travel is up to 10 percent of time away from corporate office.
10. Maintains thorough understanding of current Haworth and competitive product lines and their applications.
11. Utilizes PC/CRT and keyboard and software tools, such as presentation and graphics software and architectural/design software for training and communication purposes.
RELATIONSHIPS
A. Internal Contacts - Frequent contact with Corporate Project Consultants, researcher and Industrial Designers. Regular contact with interiors consultants and Product Marketing. Occasional contact with executive management.
B. External Contacts - Regular contact with clients, dealers, architectural and design firms and field consultants to provide education, consultation, and project management. Occasional contact with interiors experts, consultants and academia.
Desired Profile :
Bachelor�s degree in interior design, furniture design, or equivalent. Five years diversified experience in contract furniture industry that includes office systems and customer interface. Experience with Haworth product line and competitive manufacturers a plus. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required. Demonstrated experience in project management and leading teams to stated goals. PC/CRT and keyboard skills; computer literacy and 3D design/rendering skills. Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

BASIC FUNCTION
Supervises installation team on customer sites assigned by the Project Manager.
Receives, stages, and installs Haworth office furniture at customer sites and showrooms following proper product installation and disposition procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Trains and directs the work of Haworth installers and contract installers and general workers.
Stages, installs, and reconfigures product at customer installation sites.
Maintains current knowledge of all Haworth products and components installed within the local market.
Moves, pushes, and pulls loaded furniture carts from warehouse to job site. Lifts and moves various furniture from office to office.
Prepares reports on quality, safety, and installation problems.
Provides designers with facility measurements and checks layout drawings against architectural prints.
Assists with pre-installation inventory on job set-ups.
Inspects Haworth offices to assure showroom-ready conditions per standard operating procedures; performs repair and maintenance as necessary.
Provides designers with product shortage list prior to final inspection.
Coordinates facilities warehouse and computerized inventory, utilizing PC/CRT and keyboard. Operates material handler to pull product for work orders. Delivers product to and from job site.
Refurbishes panels and components. Lifts and move panels and components.
Loads/unloads variety of furniture from trailers.
May conduct installation demonstrations for new Haworth members, designers, and engineers to educate them on product features and uses.
Conducts and assists with mockups and sales presentations. Shows potential end users how products are installed; explains technical aspects and benefits of product.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal Contacts - Frequent contact with Haworth personnel at all levels regarding office installations and to conduct training and demonstrations.
External Contacts - Regular contact with customers, designers, and contract installers.
