Currently we have a Opening for CMM Level 5 Company Unix System Administrator for Bangalore Job Discription Company : CMM Level 5 Company Location : Bangalore Skill :. The candidate should be able to monitor, trouble shoot, support and fix operating systems and hardware problem on several; platforms with new and old legacy operating systems. This position also requires high knowledge of disk volume management products (EX: Veritas volumes manger, SDS, LVM etc) along with a good working knowledge with various storage frames (EX: EMC, Clarion. HP / Compaq). The Candidate will be responsible for the overall systems support in terms of installing, maintaining, configuring, tuning, consolidating applications, developing system administration scripts, planning version release upgrades and patches, security admin and leading in the development of process and policies surrounding server administration. This administrator must also be heavily involved with the routine and special backups of systems, database and applications on the servers and establishing complete system recovery procedures. Documentation of standards, policies and system information is a critical integral part of the job. The candidate must be n excellent team member, should be unafraid to assume ownership and be willing to exchange knowledge with the rest of the team. Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and without supervision an capable of directing / mentoring other associates. The candidates must be willing to assist other teams when needed. Must be a part of the enterprise on-call schedule for UNIX admin; must be enthusiastic about learning and supporting other flavors of UNIX administration (EX: Solaris, HP, AIX, SCO, Linux). Understanding of the implementation and configuration of clustering software for the primary OS is strongly desirable.
